As we begin a new term after a short break, I feel more confident and interested in what we will be doing. During the break, I have been reading, playing games, and working. Books and games helped me relax before a new start, and work, well… just to survive and pay off some debts. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 allowed me to immerse myself in a futuristic world and gave me a break from domestic problems. As Bukowski wrote in Factotum: “How in the hell could a man enjoy being awakened at 6:30 a.m. by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so?” (Bukowski, 2009).
I was also wondering how to merge everything, how to work while studying even more than in the past term, as I have more expenses in this period to cover, more duties, in general, more troubles, but as Johnny Silverhand once said: “Everybody’s got their own personal brand of chaos.” (CD Projekt Red, 2020), so I’ll keep going and we will see how its end, “You either lose your mind, or you become a legend.” (CD Projekt Red, 2020).
In the new term, I want to keep a balance between job and school and improve my presentation skills. Outside the college, I want to complete a C++ course. The biggest challenge was uncertainty with exams, and I learned to better manage stress. I am motivated by the thought that each day can bring something different, and I can learn something valuable. Overall, I’m ready to start a new term, and I believe I’ll pass.
