The first lesson of Creative Media Production was the object lesson. This is for the assessment project. I have chosen a black and white photo of a woman lying on the wooden floor for my object.
This image evokes a sense of peace. However, the scene in the photo may also be interpreted as dangerous for the person in the picture. Is she unconscious? Perhaps kidnapped? Despite these possibilities, the strongest feeling I get when looking at the photo is calmness. The woman is lying on the wooden floor with her eyes closed. The woman seems to be relaxed. Her face looks calm and does not show any signs of pain or distress.
When I think of calmness, I see images such as the sun, blue sky, ocean, palm trees, and mountains and hear sounds associated with these pictures. Also, jazz, Cuban, and Latin American music have a calming impact on me.
Also, I was trying to create 20 ideas in 20 minutes - unfortunately, I couldn't manage. This is my attempt below:
I have written down only one idea - but I don't like it - and a few associations with the object.
The Californication TV series intro is made in a nice convention that could reflect such emotions. Warm colours, optimistic or funny scenes.
The colours in the video are warm and evoke emotions associated with happiness, optimism, enthusiasm or creativity. I like the editing and music. However, for my project video, I would probably make it less dynamic to keep the desired ambience. Ultimately, my project would be a short video that evokes such feelings.
The idea of this was development and research and so there is not much of this here - you have no references and you don't seem to have really learnt anything from this exploration
